Webb City, MO. (May 14, 2014) – The YMCA Heritage Youth Development Center in Webb City will sponsor a co-ed softball tournament at King Jack Park on June 21. Entry fees from the event will support financial assistance to low-income families for programs such as:
– Supervised, afterschool programming to reduce the number of latchkey kids in the community;
– Affordable, quality preschool that helps prepare all children for kindergarten regardless of income;
– Wellness programs that help the uninsured manage chronic disease.
The cost of the event is $125, and teams will include three females and seven males per team.

The Joplin Family YMCA has been serving the Joplin community since 1891. We are a member-supported, not-for-profit organization created by the community and committed to serving the community through two fitness facilities in Joplin and a stand-alone preschool and childcare center in Webb City.
